Lash Lifts & Tints

Ever walked into our salon and seen a bunch of women laying back with strange orange rod-things on their closed eyes, and wondered what in heaven’s name is going on? That, beauties, is a Lash Lift underway! We’ve probably opened a few questions for those who have never had a Lash Lift done before… Orange rod thing?? Let us explain.

Firstly, the ‘orange rod thing’ is a silicone rod, and when we brush your lashes up and over it (with various products and tools, which we will explain more soon), you’re left with the same curl of that rod for up to 6-8 weeks! Cool, right?? We think so.

Think of a Lash Lift as a perm for your lashes. If you’re anything like most of us, your natural lashes are painfully straight, and no amount of lash curling or ‘curl’ promising mascara helps. A Lash Lift curls your lashes from base to tip so they look longer (and, well… better).

What’s involved?
Basically, your beauty therapist will properly clean the eye area and place pads underneath your eyes. They’ll listen to the requests you have in terms of what you’re trying to achieve with your lashes (but for the most part, it is just curly, beautiful lashes!), pop the silicone rods onto your closed eyelid then curl the lashes upwards, over the rods. Holding in place the curled lashes is an adhesive which will set them in this position. A lifting solution is then applied so the lashes mould around the curl of the rod, followed by a setting lotion which (no surprises here), sets them into shape.

How long will my appointment take?
We offer a complimentary Lash Tint with your Lift (regular or Hybrid – whichever you prefer), which adds an extra 10 or so minutes to your appointment. So all up, you’re looking at about 45 minutes.

How long will results last?
This is literally the best part! Your results can last anywhere up to 6-8 weeks!! Individual results always vary.

Is there much aftercare?
Immediately after you have your lashes done you should avoid water, makeup and steam for 24 hours. After that, you’re good to go! We also recommend applying a lash serum to them at least once a week – we love Browgasm, Castor Oil or Brow Gold. All available at your nearest Browz and Beauty salon!

Lash Lifts and Tints can achieve some seriously beautiful results and are reasonably low maintenance (compared to Lash Extensions which generally require 2-3 weekly infill appointments). It will also save you some extra time in your morning routine (no pesky home lash curling tools required!). It’s a definite yes from us, beauties.
